- AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEELS
316L
Description
Rod for Austenitic Stainless Steels Containing Mo
The presence of molybdenum ensures creep resistance at high temperatures and resistance to pitting in halide atmospheres. This low-carbon alloy is particularly suitable for minimizing the risks of intergranular corrosion. This consumable is suitable for austenitic stainless steels containing from 1.5% to 3% of Mo. 316 steels are chosen for their resistance to pitting, many acids, and general corrosion. The higher silicon content compared to the standard 316L increases the weld fluidity and enhances the appearance of the weld bead.
