- AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEELS
316L
Description
Solid rod for Mo bearing austenitic stainless steels
The presence of molybdenum provides creep resistance at elevated temperatures and pitting resistance in a halide atmosphere. This alloy has a low carbon content which makes it particularly recommended where there is a risk of intergranular corrosion. 316L is widely applied in the chemical and food processing industries as well as in ship building and various types of architectural structures. These consumables are used for Mo bearing austenitic stainless steels with 1.5 ÷ 3 Mo. 316 steels are used for their good resistance to pitting, many acids and general corrosion.
