CuAg
Application
This copper-silver alloy is meticulously tailored for the precise welding of electronic components, ensuring sound, pore-free deposits and exceptionally high electrical conductivity. Its outstanding corrosion resistance makes it ideal for a spectrum of applications including copper kettles, boilers, tubes, electrical conductor joints, and the refurbishing of electrical contacts in the food industry. For optimal results, it is imperative to thoroughly clean the workpieces, eliminating any traces of oil or grease. Additionally, when working on large pieces, it is recommended to use a torch tip one or two sizes larger than that typically used on steel of equivalent thickness. Preheating substantial workpieces to temperatures ranging from 350°C to 600°C further ensures successful and efficient welding processes.
Alloy Type
Copper based, silver alloyed wire.
