Application
The consumables are specifically designed to optimize interaction with alloy 690, which is increasingly preferred over alloy 600 for applications requiring superior high-temperature corrosion resistance. This choice is particularly relevant in the nuclear sector, where the high chromium content of alloy 690 ensures excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and sulfurizing atmospheres.
These consumables, in addition to guaranteeing high-quality joints between base materials, are effectively employed in cladding applications on C-Mn steels and low-alloy steels.
The main applications include
nuclear engineering and the production of equipment for handling sulfuric, nitric, and hydrofluoric acids. In most cases, neither preheating nor post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) is required.
