Description
Rutile coated electrode for309Mo austenitic stainless steels
Electrodes mainly used under high dilution conditions, particularly dissimilar welds between stainless and CMn steels. The addition of 2.0 percent to 3.0 percent molybdenum increases its pitting corrosion resistance in halide-containing environments. The primary application for this filler metal is surfacing of CMn steel or low alloy steel to improve their corrosion resistance. High current carrying capacity, minimum spatter formation and virtually self-cleaning slag produce a concave bead with minimal ripple as well as a smooth and clean weld profile.
