Application
The consumables effectively deposit Cr-Ni-Mo-Cu weld metal, showcasing a robust corrosion resistance to organic acids and hot sulfuric acid. The substantial nickel content enhances resilience against stress corrosion cracking in chloride and H2S environments. These consumables find versatile applications across tanks, process vessels, pipework systems, heat exchangers, agitators, rotors, as well as cast pumps and valves. Primarily utilized in the chemical processing industry and increasingly in offshore oil and gas sectors, they are also well-suited for corrosion-resistant overlays and welding dissimilar materials. Operational guidelines mandate no preheating, while the interpass temperature should be limited to a maximum of 150°C. Additionally, meticulous control of heat input is crucial, especially when using 4mm and 5mm diameter electrodes.
