This material, considered commercially pure, is suitable for welding titanium grades 1, 2, 3 and 4. As it is not alloyed, it has lower mechanical characteristics than other grades.
Grade 5 titanium (Ti 6Al-4V), normally called "6-4", is the
most common and most used grade. Characterized by good weldability, it can be heat treated for greater strength or toughness.
Daiko Ti 7 has the same mechanical properties as Daiko Ti 2. The presence of 0.12% palladium ensures better corrosion resistance and makes it suitable to grade 2 or 16 welding.
Daiko Ti 12 is a highly corrosion resistant alloy thanks to small additions of nickel and molybdenum, which also improve mechanical properties compared to commercially pure grades.
